Kamal obtained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a university in India in 1999. He became a Registered Chartered Physiotherapist from Health Professional Council, London in 2002, and received his license from the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in 2008. He gained tremendous experience in Neurology as well as musculoskeletal diseases by working as a Junior and Senior Physiotherapist respectively in various clinical settings throughout his professional career in National Health Services UK. His career began working at Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre where he specialized in acute as well as chronic Orthopaedic, Cardiovascular diseases management. He enjoys keeping up to date with developments in his field by reading books, journals, and blogs.
Crystal is a Canadian trained Physiotherapist who completed her Bachelors in Physiotherapy from the
University of Saskatchewan in 2005. She is certified and rostered in acupuncture, GTT-dry needling and spinal manipulation. She has taken multiple advanced courses in orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, myofasial release, movement impairment syndromes and corrective kinesiotaping. She completed her Masters degree in Rehabilitation Sciences through the University of British Columbia in 2016. Throughout her career she has worked in public and private practice, and has worked extensively with work injuries, motor vehicle accidents and sports injuries in acute and tertiary settings.
Sofiya Lehkyi is a Registered Kinesiologist with a passion in helping individuals recover from their physical injuries. She strives to manage, rehabilitate, and prevent disorders that impede movement in the patients she treats. Sofiya graduated with a Bachelor's of Applied Science in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion. Sofiya has been immersed in rehabilitation and physical wellness for 2 years, and is eager to continue applying her education and experience to treat patients. As a friendly and outgoing individual she makes patients feel welcomed, hopeful, comforted and taken care of.
Shania is a Registered Kinesiologist who recently graduated from McMaster university where she completed a Bachelor's Degree. While studying at Mac she spent 2 years as a volunteer at West End Physiotherapy. In her spare time she loves to hang out with her younger sisters and watch football.
Cameron is a recent Kinesiology graduate from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a minor in Psychology. Recently moved to the province, Cam is looking for new hiking spots when he's not watching football or basketball. He's always willing to chat and offer a helping hand!
Kelsey recently joined the West End team as an administrator. She utilizes her 10+ years of customer service experience to make every patient's visit enjoyable. Her love for games and puzzles makes it easy for her to find creative solutions to any problem. She is a natural people-person so do not hesitate to stop by the desk and request her assistance!
Kristin is a Registered Massage Therapist and a Certified Athletic Therapist. Kristin has been working as an Athletic Therapist for 7 years both with sports teams and in the clinic treating athletic injuries, as well as everyday injuries. In 2016 she decided to expand her knowledge and completed the Advanced Massage Therapy program at the Ontario College of Health and Technology and became a Massage Therapist in 2017. Now, Kristin uses a variety of General Swedish Massage techniques in her treatment such as fascial work, trigger point release as well as joint mobilizations. She combines her knowledge from both areas of study in order to find the source of the pain and plan specific treatments for each patient, including some home exercises that may help with recovery. She has also completed several continuing education courses over the last few years such as Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral therapy and Soft Tissue Release and incorporates it all into her practice. In her spare time, Kristin likes to play ultimate frisbee and run, as well as relax with her family.
Richelle joined the West End team in 2019 and brings with her over 10 years of customer service experience. Richelle also has veterinary and animal nutrition experience. She has a passion for animals and helping people. She loves meeting new people and is always happy to offer a helping hand. When Richelle is not working, she is often spending time with her fiance and 3 dogs, Dexter, Chico, and Storm.
