Natasha graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2017. Prior to that, she completed an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. Natasha has a core interest in orthopaedics and biomechanics. She is trained in the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy for low back pain and is certified in Soft Tissue Release and K-Tape Pro. She has a passion for health and wellness and strives to use her knowledge to help others reach their health goals. Natasha practices client-centered care, providing proactive treatment plans that are tailored to the individual. Natasha is fluently bilingual and is happy to provide care in either English or French. In her spare time, Natasha enjoys running, playing soccer and camping.
Kamal obtained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from a university in India in 1999. He became a Registered Chartered Physiotherapist from Health Professional Council, London in 2002, and received his license from the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in 2008. He gained tremendous experience in Neurology as well as musculoskeletal diseases by working as a Junior and Senior Physiotherapist respectively in various clinical settings throughout his professional career in National Health Services UK. His career began working at Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre where he specialized in acute as well as chronic Orthopaedic, Cardiovascular diseases management. He enjoys keeping up to date with developments in his field by reading books, journals, and blogs.
Steve Keown graduated with honours in 2010 from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He has been working at West End Physiotherapy since August of 2011. When Steve isn't working hard to help you get better he enjoys playing sports, camping and helping lead youth programs at his church.
Lisa graduated in from South University in West Palm Beach Florida and Lynn University in Boca Raton Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Behavioral Psychology and Physiotherapy Assisting. Lisa is both a Licensed Physiotherapist Assistant in Florida and Licensed Personal Trainer by the American Council on Exercise Science. Lisa shares her clinical treatment and commitment to improving and educating patients on quality movement and health with her patients in both Hamilton Ontario and South Florida. In her spare time Lisa enjoys running and biking the numerous trails in Hamilton and playing golf.
Connie is a McMaster University alumni with an honours Bachelor of Science in kinesiology. She is excited to learn and develop her skills and knowledge to best serve patients. She is an avid tennis player and enjoys running, swimming and volunteering at McMaster Children's Hospital.
Shannon is an accomplished RMT currently focusing her career in General Swedish Massage. Her interest in massage therapy stems from her love of muscle anatomy. She is passionate about learning and understanding how the body works, as it varies with every individual and lifestyle. Since successfully graduating from Ontario College of Health and Technology she has kept current in techniques such as deep tissue massage, joint play and myofacial and soft tissue release. Shannon believes that Massage Therapy combined with proper home care and the right level of activity is key to reaching your treatment goals. Shannon is excited to expand her knowledge in massage therapy and learn new complimentary modalities to facilitate a custom treatment plan for each individual patient. Shannon is at West End Physio on Thursdays from 1:00pm - 7:00pm.
Kristin is a Registered Massage Therapist and a Certified Athletic Therapist. Kristin has been working as an Athletic Therapist for 7 years both with sports teams and in the clinic treating athletic injuries, as well as everyday injuries. In 2016 she decided to expand her knowledge and completed the Advanced Massage Therapy program at the Ontario College of Health and Technology and became a Massage Therapist in 2017. Now, Kristin uses a variety of General Swedish Massage techniques in her treatment such as fascial work, trigger point release as well as joint mobilizations. She combines her knowledge from both areas of study in order to find the source of the pain and plan specific treatments for each patient, including some home exercises that may help with recovery. She has also completed several continuing education courses over the last few years such as Visceral Manipulation, Craniosacral therapy and Soft Tissue Release and incorporates it all into her practice. In her spare time, Kristin likes to play ultimate frisbee and run, as well as relax with her family.
Dr. Wayne Jerome is a chiropractor at West End Physiotherapy. He is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). Prior to attending CMCC, Dr. Jerome studied at McMaster University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He has been providing patient-centered chiropractic care, which is a hands-on health care discipline in the Hamilton area since 1986. He has worked with several local sport teams including the Hamilton Hurricane Junior Football team and the Hamilton Thunder Soccer team. Dr. Jerome practices diversified chiropractic technique which involves manual therapies, including spinal and extremity manipulation as well as lifestyle and rehabilitation recommendations. Dr. Jerome’s goal is to reduce pain, improve function, and educate patients so they may achieve and maintain their best quality of life.
Emily graduated from Mohawk College with a diploma in Medical Office Administration, plus two years of nursing experience. She has been with our company since July 2017. Emily has more than 8 years of customer service experience and is one of the administrators at our clinic. She can help you with many different clerical needs such as booking appointments, managing schedules, and helping with insurance, MVA or WSIB claims. In her free time she enjoys attending Hamilton Tiger Cat games, playing escape rooms, and competing with her dance group in the winter months.
