  • Darryl Yardley - pic

    Since graduating with a Master of Science from the University of Toronto in 2006, Darryl has practiced as an orthopaedic physiotherapist. In 2008, he completed his Master of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy at Western University. He has been a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists since 2009. Darryl is the clinical operations manager for West End Physiotherapy. His role is to ensure the therapists are accountable for the delivery of high quality services within a patient-centered model of care. He is also accountable for the clinical and business development for the clinic. Darryl continues to work clinically in a consultant model with orthopaedic and neurosurgeons to enhance the patient experience and triage to the right person, in the right place, at the right time. Darryl dedicates time educating and mentoring physiotherapists. Another passion of his is to facilitate the new graduate transition from student to entry-level clinician and encourage a positive initial work experience. Darryl has received awards to acknowledge his service as a physiotherapist providing excellence in learning, guidance, supervision and inspiration to physiotherapy students.

  • Amberley Horton - WEP

    Amberly attended McMaster University for her undergraduate degree in Health Studies. Recently, she completed her Masters of Physical Therapy degree at Queen’s University. As a former competitive dancer and athlete, Amberly developed a passion for human movement and physical fitness. She continually strives to provide evidence-based treatments that target individual patient needs and goals. Amberly believes continual education is an essential component of physical therapy practice. She has developed a special interest in orthopaedic and pelvic floor physiotherapy, and is enthusiastic about learning new skills in these areas. Amberly grew up in a small town and remains a country girl at heart. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, fishing and relaxing on the beach or by a bonfire.

  • WEP - Stephanie KIN

    Stephanie graduated from Brock University in 2015 with an Honors degree in Kinesiology. She is very excited to be joining the team at West End Physiotherapy and looks forward to gaining experience here, as well as continue to learn even more about this field from her coworkers. She is a strong advocate for health and wellness and always promotes physical activity to live a healthy lifestyle. Stephanie enjoys helping others and is always excited to see a patient progress and succeed on their rehabilitation journey. During her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the movies, traveling and going on bike rides.

  • Stephen Keown

    Steve Keown graduated with honours in 2010 from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He has been working at West End Physiotherapy since August of 2011. When Steve isn't working hard to help you get better he enjoys playing sports, camping and helping lead youth programs at his church.

    Melissa graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with her degree in Kinesiology and diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion. After graduation Melissa attended the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton, New Brunswick. At ACTM she took extra courses focusing on perinatal care where she learned and practiced perinatal massage, high-risk pregnancy massage, as well as children and infant massage. She also took extra courses in sport massage where she learned and practiced extensive myofascial release techniques. Melissa also has experience treating individuals with pathological conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Lymphedema, as well neurological accidents. Melissa likes to incorporate the wide range of techniques and skills that she has learned into each of her treatments to ensure that the treatment is individualized for each client she treats. Melissa has been a member of the CMTO and RMTAO since 2014, in good standing.
