Melissa graduated from the University of Guelph-Humber with her degree in Kinesiology and diploma in Fitness & Health Promotion. After graduation Melissa attended the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton, New Brunswick. At ACTM she took extra courses focusing on perinatal care where she learned and practiced perinatal massage, high-risk pregnancy massage, as well as children and infant massage. She also took extra courses in sport massage where she learned and practiced extensive myofascial release techniques.
Melissa also has experience treating individuals with pathological conditions such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Lymphedema, as well neurological accidents. Melissa likes to incorporate the wide range of techniques and skills that she has learned into each of her treatments to ensure that the treatment is individualized for each client she treats.
Melissa has been a member of the CMTO and RMTAO since 2014, in good standing.
